How each piece is made

Four slow steps in a small home studio. Every jar and candle is made by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

Cast

Concrete is mixed with pastel pigment and cast into fluted, wavy or round moulds.

Colours · blush, butter, sky, sage

Cure

Jars rest until fully set, then are sanded and sealed so they are smooth and ready to use.

Finish · sanded & sealed

Pour

Wax is poured by hand around a centred wick and left to set undisturbed.

Our story

Hand made with love, one piece at a time.

Anusri Creations is the handmade studio of Anjali Joshi. It started with a love for soft colours and making things by hand. What began as a few flower candles for friends grew into a collection of candles, concrete jars and trays.

Today it is still a small home studio with one stove and a shelf of curing candles. Every jar is designed to be reused, as a planter, pen stand or organiser, long after the candle is gone.

Candle care, answered

How long should the first burn be?+

Let the first burn go until the melted wax reaches the edges of the jar, usually 2 to 3 hours. This prevents tunnelling and helps every burn after it stay even.

Why should I trim the wick?+

Trim to about 5mm before each light. A shorter wick gives a calmer flame, less soot on the glass and a longer life for your candle.

Can I reuse the vessel?+

Yes. Pop the jar in the freezer for an hour, the leftover wax lifts out easily. Our concrete jars also make lovely planters, pen stands and brush holders.

How long does shipping take?+

Message us on WhatsApp with your order and pin code and we will share delivery time and charges. Orders over ₹1,500 ship free.
